Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani Has Criticized The Recent Fuel Price Hike By Dangote Refinery, Expressing Disappointment As Nigerians Had Expected The Refinery To Reduce Fuel Costs.

Posting On X, Sani Wrote: “The Expectation Was That Dangote Refinery Will Crash The Price Of Petrol; The News That It’s Increasing Is Baffling.”

The Refinery Announced An Increase In The Gantry Price Of Premium Motor Spirit To ₦955 Per Litre For Marketers Buying Less Than 5 Million Litres, And ₦950 Per Litre For Larger Purchases.

This Marks A 6.17% Rise From The Previous ₦899.50 Per Litre Set In December. Consequently, The Retail Price Of Petrol Has Risen To Between ₦1,030 And ₦1,050 Per Litre.
