Just In: $500 Million in Cash, $1 Billion in Gold, and Fake Election Results Discovered in Former Abia Governor’s House in Abuja

Nigerian authorities have reportedly uncovered $500 million in cash and $1 billion worth of gold hidden in the residence of former Abia State Governor T.A. Orji in Abuja. Alongside these assets, they also found a forged gubernatorial election result sheet, allegedly used to secure his victory.

The shocking discovery came after current Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate his predecessor, citing massive financial losses under Orji’s administration, as well as the state’s poor infrastructure, including bad roads and food insecurity.

Acting on the petition, EFCC operatives launched a raid, uncovering what analysts describe as a staggering amount of wealth that could have lifted Abia State out of poverty during Orji’s tenure.
