Just In: “As long as I am alive and breathing, Nnamdi Kanu will never be releasedโonly over my dead body. We offered Nnamdi a deal that could lift his 10th generation out of hardship, but he insisted on Biafra, which will never happen,” Wike declares.
Nyesom Wike, has vowed that IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu will remain in detention as long as he is alive. Speaking in a recent interview, Wike claimed that the government had offered Kanu a life-changing deal that could secure the future of his lineage, but he rejected it, insisting on the actualization of Biafra.
The Chief Justice of Ghana, Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, has issued a stern warning to Nigeriaโs Chief Justice, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, regarding the trial of Nnamdi Kanu. She emphasized that under international law, anyone who puts an individual on trial after abducting them from another country without proper jurisdiction is effectively committing an act of terrorism.
“It is universally accepted that one cannot abduct someone and then proceed to prosecute them. This is not a practice recognized anywhere in the world,” Justice Torkornoo stated.
She further cautioned that the world, especially Africa, is closely watching Nigeriaโs handling of this case. “You are sitting on a ticking time bomb, with the entire world watching as if on a giant screen. Do not become a bad actor in this unfolding drama,” she warned.
Describing Nigeria as a “decaying empire preying on decent individuals,” she urged the Nigerian judiciary not to let their names be etched into historyโs hall of shame. “Do not entangle yourself in a cycle of disgrace that will forever taint your legacy,” she concluded.
