A fire has broken out in Abuja as tensions rise between the Hausa and Fulani communities. Hausa youths are reportedly demanding that Fulanis leave Abuja immediately or face conflict.
“We can no longer continue to associate or be linked with the Fulani, a tribe we know little about,” said one Hausa youth.
At least four Fulanis have been reported killed in Wuse, Abuja, while others have fled to the police for safety. The Hausa youths insist that enough is enough, questioning why the world continues to associate them with the Fulani. “We are not Fulani,” they emphasized.
