An 80-year old Nigerian man, Identified as Mohammed Bara’u of Lawan Fannami ward in Gashu’a community of Yobe State has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old girl in the state.
According to reports, the suspect who is a wood seller lured the little orphan girl with chocolate and asked her to pick something from his room and reportedly followed and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
The Police have arrested him through Bade Local Govt Shari’a Committee and some local NGOs.
According to reports, the girl lost her parents few years ago, Medical examination confirmed the she was defiled.
The old man who confessed to raping the little girl once, will be transferred to CID office in Damaturu on Friday June 19.
