Breaking News: Ohanaeze President-General Warns Tinubu: “Nigeria Cannot Defeat the Igbos in a Fair Battle” Release Nnamdi Kanu to us Before it Becomes Late
The President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has issued a strong warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasizing the grave consequences of continued detention of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu. In a fiery statement, he declared that the Igbos are fully prepared to defend themselves if provoked, asserting that Nigeria should not underestimate their strength.
“If Nigeria wants to engage the Igbos in battle, we are ready. Our only condition is simpleโno foreign intervention, no external support. Let it be a fair fight, local to local. And in just two weeks, we will overrun Sokoto,” he asserted.
He further described Nigeria’s tendency to take the Igbo people for granted as a dangerous mistake, stating that history has shown that Nigeria cannot defeat itself in an open and even war. “Even Britain knows this,” he added.
The Ohanaeze leader stressed that the true challenge the Igbos face is not Nigeria itself but foreign powers that exploit the weakness of the North to intervene in Igbo affairs.
He urged President Tinubu to reconsider his stance on Nnamdi Kanu, warning that failure to act swiftly could lead to consequences beyond control.
“This is a crucial moment for Nigeria. The continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu is a ticking time bomb, and ignoring it could plunge the country into unforeseen chaos,” he concluded
