Sadip Abdulhamid a 35 year old man, said his heart still bleed after the flood that wipe his entire family members in Gwagwalada area of Abuja, Sadip Abdulhamid said that his pain is not that only his family die in the flood, but he was not there to protect them, his 30 year old wife Habibat and four children which are, Rahimat five years old, four month old baby Hamida, Latifat nine year old and Abdulatif, 12 year old all die on Saturday, when a heavy rain fall casuse flood in Gwagwalada area in Abuja.
He told news men,that he went to Kogi state, his village to farm and provide food for his family, because he loss his job as a security man when the pathetic incident happen. He said that the money he made from his security work is what he used to build house for his family in Gwagwalada, before it was demolished by flood.
He also said that, it is still like a dream to him, that he feel like he is going to wake up and realize that everything was a joke. Since the heartbreaking news was told to him, Mr. Sadiq had not stop crying, he search all the water and stream hoping that , he will find their bodies and pay his last respect to them.
Sadip was said to faint when he first heard about the news and told people that if anyone told him that, this will happen to him, he will not believed, that he still has not believe that his wife and children are dead and the painful thing is that he had not seen their bodies.
His wife Habitat who she is a school teacher in Divine gift Academy in Gwagwalada, since when her husband lost his job, she had being the one supporting the family, with the ten thousand salary that she was being paid by the school. At 6 am on Saturday the rain water has raise to roof level. Before the can call for help the water had already break into their house , she was holding her four months old baby on her chest shouting for help but no one could come to their rescue. Their dead came as a shock to the community, Mrs. Charity Williams her close friend said that she was a hardworking woman.
