A newly appointed Governing Council member of the Federal Polytechnic, Shendam, in Plateau State, Dr. Dayyabu Chiroma, has rejected the appointment, citing complete loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, .
In a letter addressed to the Minister of Education, and signed by the Bauchi State Politician, obtained by Page 36 on Friday, Hon. Chiroma appreciated the Federal Government’s gesture, and showered praises on President Muhammadu Buhari, for finding him worthy, despite belonging to the opposition PDP, while rejecting the appointment.
The letter reads in part: “While I was indeed appointed to give my best to the development of my dear country Nigeria, I must not hesitate to categorically inform you of my decision to decline the appointment, due to my loyalty and dedication to the PDP, and indeed my personal support and unwavering loyalty to the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed.”
