Unconfirmed report reaching on Saturday, indicates that the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and 2023 Presidential Aspirant, Bola Tinubu, may likely decamp from the ruling party to the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, should he lose the APC Presidential ticket during the primary elections.
There have been reports making the rounds that the APC National Leader will not get the ticket of the APC to run in the 2023 Presidential election, as he is not the favourite choice of President Muhammadu Buhari to succeed him.
There have also been uncertainty as to which party Tinubu will decamp to, after he loses the APC ticket, until recently, when the former Director-General of his Presidential Campaign Team, Abdulmumini Jibrin, formally defected to the New Nigeria Peoples Party, on Friday.
The bold move by Jibrin put an end to those speculations, as many political watchers see the defection by Jibrin as a move to lay down the foundation in the new party for Tinubu, should he eventually lose the APC Presidential primary election.
Recall, that Jibrin had shared a picture on his Facebook page, where he was holding a basket of vegetables, which is the symbol of his new party, the NNPP.
