Emerging report reaching Page 36 on Saturday, indicates that violence has broken out at a mega rally of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kano State.
The rally, which was organised to welcome a former Governorship Candidate of the Green Party of Nigeria, GPN, A. A. Zaura, and other decampees into the party, is taking place at the Sabongari Area of Kano Metropolis.
The mega rally was monitored by Page 36’s Correspondent.
While Rt. Hon. Hamisu Chidari, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, was giving his goodwill message, some of the top party members in attendance started exchanging blows, for reasons that were difficult to be determined through the TV screens.
The incident almost disrupted the rally, as people fled in different directions.
