The deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has filed a suit before the Federal High Court, in Abuja, seeking an order for his release from the post-dethronement detention and confinement.
Sanusi was deposed, following a resolution of the Kano State Executive Council, on March 9, over allegations of insubordination.
Following his sack, he was taken to Awe, in Nasarawa State, and has been held in an apartment in the town, after he was dethroned by the Kano State Government, on Monday.
