The Leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, has on Thursday, called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to investigate the true sources of the wealth of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, as well as a Chieftain of the ruling party, Bisi Akande, .
He made the call while lambasting the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Akande, for saying that he (Adebanjo) pestered Tinubu to build him a house in Lekki, Lagos State, where he now resides.
Adebanjo spoke at a Press Conference, in Lagos, in response to the allegations made against him by Akande, in his 559-page autobiography, titled: ‘My Participations’, launched in Lagos, last week.
The 93-year-old Afenifere Leader, explained how he gathered funds to build his Lekki residence, asking the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to probe and reveal the sources of wealth of both Tinubu and Akande, especially ahead of the 2023 general elections, where the former is rumoured to run for the Presidential seat.
