The Governor of Ekiti State and 2023 Presidential Aspirant, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has on Tuesday, at the ongoing Presidential primary election of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, stepped down for the National Leader of the party and 2023 Presidential Aspirant, Bola Tinubu, to emerge as the Presidential Candidate of the party for the 2023 Presidential election, .
He stated specifically that since he is still a young man and has more opportunities to contest in the future, he would stepping down for Tinubu, who he described as his father and elder brother, to emerge as the party’s Flagbearer for 2023.
Meanwhile, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, also announced that he is stepping down from the race for Tinubu to emerge as the Presidential Candidate of the ruling party.
The Governor of Jigawa State, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, who had earlier before today, announced that he was stepping down from the race, revealed that he stepped down for Tinubu as well.
