Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has on Friday, publicly given the Labour Party, LP, 2023 Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, what appeared to be the biggest endorsement for the 2023 Presidency,
The former President, former Military Head of State, and very well respected Elder Statesman shockingly offered his seat to Obi, during an event to celebrate a National Award given to the President of the African Export-Import Bank, Prof. Benedict Oramah, declaring thereafter: “My Job is done.”
The historic act which has not been witnessed since Nigeria’s democracy in 1999, sent a very strong signal to all the other Presidential Candidates who have been lobbying to get the endorsement of the former President, especially the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Candidate, Bola Tinubu, whose team has in the past weeks, been caught in the Media with lies that Obasanjo had endorsed Tinubu for the 2023 Presidency.
Those lies can now however, be put to final rest, as Obasanjo has clearly shown Nigerians who he has chosen and is supporting for the 2023 Presidency, in the name and person of Labour Party’s Peter Obi, for the birth of a New Nigeria.
The historic act can be seen in a viral video on Twitter.
As he stepped forward to pick Obi from his former seat, Obasanjo said: “In the presence of Nigerians.”
And after leading Obi to Table One, he declared: “My job is done.”
