The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has stated that more Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, are on their way to the All Progressives Congress, APC,
Governor Bello, who featured on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’, on Thursday night, was commenting on the defection of the Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, from the PDP to the APC, earlier this week.
His words: “Umahi is with us, others are coming. Other Governors are already knocking. They are on their way. We will be unveiling them one after the other.”
Governor Bello said that the APC is committed to presenting a Presidential Candidate for the 2023 general elections, that would unite the nation, and would be acceptable to all.
He stated that Governor Umahi should be recognised as the Politician of the year, as he has sacrificed to enlist the South-East to get good representation at the centre.
He further stated that the North Central and the South-East have both been deprived in national polity, stressing that, there is nothing wrong, if they seek to contest the 2023 Presidency.
