The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the main opposition party in Nigeria, has called for the immediate resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday.
They made the call, over the alleged cases of corruption in the Federal Agencies under President Buhari’s watch.
Prince Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of the PDP, made the call in an ongoing Media parley in Abuja.
Secondus pointed to the ongoing corruption investigations of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC; IMC, Interim Management Committee; North-East Development Commission, NEDC; Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, NSITF; Economy and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC; and others.
According to him, the country, under the leadership of President Buhari, is on a ventilator, gasping for breath.
His words: “Corruption has become a way of life among Nigerians, while Buhari plays the ostrich.”
Secondus further accused the President of abandoning his promise during his Presidential campaigns, to thoroughly fight corruption in the country.
