Following the appointment of New service chiefs, Nigerian Activist Deji Adeyanju has claimed that Buhari did not sack the service chiefs but they resigned.
He wrote: “I don believe Buhari sacked the service chiefs. They got tired of making money and resigned.”
“Buhari would have saved over 30,000 lives if he had sacked these clueless service chiefs 3yrs ago.”
Confirming his claims, President Buhari on his official Twitter handle, wrote: “I have accepted the immediate resignation of the Service Chiefs, and their retirement from service. I thank them all for their overwhelming achievements in our efforts at bringing enduring peace to Nigeria, and wish them well in their future endeavours.”

“Major-General Leo Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff”
“Major-General I. Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff”
“Rear Admiral A.Z Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff”
“Air-Vice Marshal I.O Amao, Chief of Air Staff.”
