Former Governor of Anambra State and 2019 Vice Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),Mr Peter Obi has been in Lagos since March,
2020,his Media Aide,Valentine Obienyem has revealed.
Obienyem disclosed this while reacting to allegation that the former Governor
collected bribe to influence the Anambra PDP Governorship in favour of Dr Godwin Maduka of Pains Institute in the United States of America.
Dr. Godwin Maduka is one of the top contenders to the governorship ticket of the
PDP in the forth-coming gubernatorial election in Anambra State.
“The uninformed that wrote it is obviously not aware that Mr. Peter Obi is caught up in Lagos because of COVID-19 lockdown. He has not left Lagos since March “,
said Obienyem.
Peter Obi is not alone,not a few Nigerian elite have been holed up in major
cities since the Lockdown occassioned by COVID -19 pandemic. Many have
also been been trapped outside our shores as major flights have been suspended.
