Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Aviation Minister, has on Friday, aired his opinion on the disqualification of the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, by the All Progressives Congress, APC, from the party’s upcoming Governorship primary election, slated for June 22.
Obaseki’s disqualification was made public by the Chairman of the Screening Committee, Prof. Jonathan Ayuba, while submitting his report to the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, in Abuja, on Friday.
Ayuba said that the outgoing Governor was disqualified, due to a faulty academic certificate.
Reacting, Fani-Kayode stated that Adams Oshiomhole is a formidable adversary, and a skilful fighter.
In a tweet, he wrote: “One of the most important virtues in life is LOYALTY. Never bite the finger that fed you.
“Obaseki has learnt this lesson the hard way. I have known Oshiomole for years. He is a formidable adversary, a skilful fighter, and a tough cookie. Obaseki could never have outmanoeuvred him.”
