The Edo State Government, has called on The Nation Newspaper, owned by the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, to desist from spreading hatred and division among Edo Political Actors.
Mercy O. Robinson, the Senior Special Assistant on Social Media, Edo State Government, made this known in a statement on Wednesday.
The statement reads in full:
Why is propaganda now synonymous with The Nation newspaper?
The newspaper has mastered the act of carefully cultivating fissure of disunity and fascism.
The newspaper keep stirring hatred and division among Edo political actors.
The newspaper is now recognized by its deliberate perversion of truth and facts.
It has become a propaganda machine that can be likened to a snake-pit.
The newspaper mis-guided publication on the purported endorsement of a candidate by EPM, can be best described as an act of artificially induced psychosis nurtured upon an incessant fear by the renegades.
Finally, if the newspaper cannot decide whether they are in the business of reporting news or manufacturing propaganda, it is all the more important that, the public understand that difference, and choose their news sources accordingly. 4+4 =8
