Festus Keyamo Laughs At PDP Protesters, Says Even Donald Trump Cannot Change Imo Judgement.
The Honourable Minister of State, Labor and Employment, Festus Keyamo has expressed his opinion regarding the protest made by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja, on Friday, concerning the recent Supreme Court judgement.
Recall that the Supreme Court earlier in January, 2020 had sent the Governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, packing and installed Hope Uzodinma through a judgement which has been considered one of the most controversial judgements of the Supreme Court.
Following the swearing in of the new governor, many Nigerians have protested, stating that the Supreme Court should upturn the said judgement as it is partial considering that Hope Uzodinma was the 3rd runner up in the concluded election.
Just yesterday, the PDP protesters upped their game by going to the United States and United Kingdom Embassies in Nigeria at Abuja to protest about what they considered an unfair judgment.
Reacting to this, the former Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs, Festus Keyamo had earlier this morning through his verified Twitter account @fkeyamo stated that their protest was nothing short of a comedy.
In his words:
Ok. So, what is expected is that Donald Trump picks his phone & calls the Justices of the Nigerian S/Court: ‘Hey, my friends, what kind of judgement is that? I am giving you 24 hours to reverse it!’ This protest to the embassies over our local jurisprudence is comedy at its best!
