A family that was chased out by its former land lord for not paying rent now live in a hole.
According to a report by the star,the mother of eight explains how they opted to live in hole after all landlords in the area rejected them for having eight children .So they decided to cover a hole and make it a home.
“We looked everywhere but landlords rejected us because we had so many children and couldn’t pay rent in our last place. We found no shelter,” she said
Seth Efhedha the father of eight said they get enough for the day but they are not able to save enough to build a house.
“I thank God what we get what is enough for the day but nothing remains for savings to enable me set up house for my children,” he said
The family is however hopeful since Global Vision Youth Group have decided to raise funds for them from well wishers.
“We as youth don’t have a stable income and we depend on what we borrow from our parents. We still need more money to build a house.We have been contributing something small to buy food for this family every month,” Mwangi,a member of the youth group said adding that they have contributed Ksh 40000 so far.
