A Catholic Priest and Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, in Enugu, Rev. Fr Ejike Mbaka, has accused the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, of shunning him, after his election victory at the Supreme Court in 2020,
In his 2020 New Year message, the Cleric had said that Governor Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress, APC, would be sworn-in as Governor of the State.
He had said: “In spite of all that would happen this 2020, there is hope. In Imo State, there is hope. Hope, hope, hope … hope in Imo State!
“Imo people have suffered, (but) God is raising a new hope that would be an agent of salvation for them.”
Former Governor Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was the incumbent, when Father Mbaka gave the prediction.
Reacting many months after Governor Uzodinma’s Supreme Court victory, Fr. Mbaka has now disclosed that since Governor Uzodinma assumed power, he has not answered his phone calls.
He also revealed that the Imo State Governor is yet return to the Church to show appreciation.
He noted: “It is not that I am asking for money, it is that I should advise him for good governance.”
