A former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, has called on all Nigerians to live good lives and with the fear of God, in order to be able to enter the Kingdom of God,
Obasanjo spoke at a Thanksgiving Service at the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church, Ogba, Lagos State.
The Service was to thank God for the success of the burial of Olufunso Salako, the wife of a former Member of the House of Representatives, Apostle Dave Salako.
Olufunsho died on Sunday, August 9, 2020, after a brief illness, at the age of 59.
Obasanjo, in a condolence letter to Dave, who represented Remo Federal Constituency, in Ogun State, between 2003 and 2011, said that death is a reminder of the brevity of life.
The former President urged everyone to live with the fear of God.
During the Thanksgiving Service, Obasanjo, who delivered the sermon, was represented by his son, Seun.
Obasanjo stated that heaven is assured for late Olufunsho, because from the testimonies of people, she loved everyone, and cared for her family members.
He said: “When a Christian passes away, they have gone to sleep. On the final day, they would come up on the day of resurrection. Resurrection is assured for all Christians.”
The event was attended by top personalities, including Clerics and Traditional Rulers from Ogun State.
