Former President Goodluck Jonathan Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday reacted to the demise of Mallam Abba Kyari, chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
The presidency early Saturday morning announced the death of Kyari who had been battling with the deadly COVID-19 virus.
Media adviser, Femi Adesina made the obituary announcement.
“The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari”, he said.
But reacting on his official Facebook page Jonathan said, “I sympathise with President Muhammadu Buhari, the Kyari family, and the Government and people of Borno State on the demise of Mallam Abba Kyari who until his death was the Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria. He served his country to the best of his abilities as a lawyer, journalist and an astute administrator.
“May Allah grant him Al Jannah Firdaus and strengthen his family and friends during this period of grief.
