The mother of late Michael Usifo Ataga, the CEO of Super TV Mrs Sylvia Ataga took to her Facebook page on 17 June, to celebrate the 50th birthday of her son. Little did she know that the man was already murdered by his “side chick”
She wrote on her Facebook page,
“Happy golden birthday to my son Usifo. My son gives me joy. May the rest of your life remain golden & all your lines fall in place. You are loved beyond measure & my prayer for you today is that God will take control of all your endeavours. The son who makes me happy! Congratulations on this milestone & God’s blessings always”.
It was not until the 17th of June that the TV CEO bodies were retrieved from the apartment where he was stabbed to death. One of those who had earlier congratulated the old woman on her post would later ask her if it was the same son that was reported dead.
The mother would later confirm that it was the same person. Mrs Sylvia said, “Yes it was the same Usifo my son, they have murdered him and I was not aware when I was celebrating his birthday.
The lady who allegedly killed Usifo, Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu claimed she committed the act because she was angry at the tireless rounds of sex she was forced to have with the man after she had initially told him of her tiredness.
The suspect was arraigned in Lagos state. A 300 level student of mass communication.
She was later discovered to have transferred around 5 million nairas from the account of the deceased before she was arrested.
