OWERRI – Change Nigeria Party (CNP), Imo State chapter, has advised other political parties and their governorship candidates in the state still kicking against the victory of Governor Emeka Ihedioha in respect of the result of the 9th March governorship election to join hands with him (Ihedioha) to actualize his Rebuild Imo Agenda.
Prince Fabian Onyebuchi Iwuoha, chairman of the party in the state, made the call in an exclusive interview with the Daily Independent in Owerri.
Iwuoha, an Abuja-based real estate expert, said that the victory of Ihedioha at the poll and at the Election Petition Tribunal was a product of hard work and an expression of the collective wish of the Imo electorate.
The politician, however, enjoined Ihedioha to run an all-inclusive government saying, “I do not believe in the politics of rancour, bitterness and acrimony and I make bold to affirm that Governor Ihedioha was and still remains a better candidate than Uche Nwosu of the Action Alliance (AA), hence we should give him (Ihedioha) the necessary support to realize his “Rebuild Imo Agenda”.
Iwuoha boasted that the party presented the youngest candidate in the last presidential election in the country.
According to him, the National Chairman of the party, Usman Attai Ikieliji, has the vision of youths going into active partisan politics to bring democracy dividends to the masses.
“In view of this, the CNP has come to stay in Imo and we are sick and tired of the bastardization of the nation’s democratic process,” he said.
The CNP boss congratulated Ihedioha on his victory at the election petition tribunal but pleaded with all sons and daughters of the state to come and join his party to advance the cause of Imo citizens.
