Popular socio-political Analyst and good governance advocate, Charles Ogbu has reacted to the judgment of the Supreme Court that sacked governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State.
Ogbu’s major concern as contained in his post on Facebook was the prediction of Catholic priest and spiritual director of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), Fr. Ejike Mbaka which came to pass today, Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
Mbaka had in his homily on new year told Ihedioha to prepare to leave office that the Holy Spirit has rejected him, and a new “hope, with a new flag” will take over the government of the state.”
DAILYEXCESSIVE earlier reported that the Supreme Court, had in a unanimous judgement by a seven-man panel of justices that was led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Tanko Muhammad, held that Ihedioha who contested on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was not duly elected.
Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun who delivered the lead judgement declared Senator Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the valid winner of the governorship contest that held in Imo state on March 9, 2019.
The Supreme Court, therefore, ordered the immediate withdrawal of the Certificate of Return that was issued to Ihedioha.
It ordered that a fresh Certificate of Return should be issued to Uzodinma forthwith, adding that he should be sworn-in immediately as the governor of Imo state.
Reacting to the judgement of the apex court, Ogbu wondered if one of the Justices in the Supreme Court tipped off Mbaka on the outcome of the court’s rulings before hand since everything went the way the catholic priest predicted.
He wrote:
“Justice Tanko led Supreme Court just declared Hope Uzodimma as the duly elected governor of Imo state.
“Could it be that one of the Justices in the Supreme Court tipped off Mbaka on the outcome of the Supreme Court ruling before hand? Is it possible they used the Catholic Priest to taste the waters and prepare people’s mind? Or he simply predicted right?
“I see a major crises that will tear Imo apart here. These conscienceless bunch want Imo to burn. Declaring Mbaka who came distant 4th in an election as the governor is a huge legal outrage to me.”
