It seems Twitter has removed the Twitter handle of Nigeria’s controversial investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, or she has deleted the account by herself.
A search on Twitter for her Username which was Medical Journalist Dr. Kemi Olunloyo, and unique handle, @KemiOlunloyo fails to bring up her page which had over 100,000 followers.
Instead, the handle of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and two other fake Twitter accounts are the handles that pop up after the search on @KemiOlunloyo. See the evidence below.
Furthermore, when one clicks on the handle @KemiOlunloyo, it leads to a page that says that the account does not exist. Also, see the evidence below.
Reports have it that Kemi Olunloyo’s Facebook account has been removed too, same with the Instagram page. All accounts mentioned had tremendous followers.
It is believed that her accounts were removed after she repeatedly spread fake news on the purported dead of Nnamdi Kanu. Despite a live video broadcast by the IPOB leader, Kemi had said that the former was dead and cremated in Italy.
She also made other wild statements that were seen as inciteful to the members of the IPOB, although the group was proscribed by the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Online petitions were consequently launched against her on social media which reportedly led to the blocking of her accounts by Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter management.
Members of IPOB have since mocked her for losing out in their online battle. See the reactions below.
“@KemiOlunloyo Kemi what happen to your page at Facebook, hahaha IPOB is bigger than you now you know. Congratulations for the blocking at least you will stop begging for money and allow us to find out peace.”
“@KemiOlunloyo how far. You think you will lament rubbish about my Daddy @MaziNnamdiKanu you go free. Believe me this is just the beginning. You can do anyhow with Zoo governments, but not with IPOB ONE BIG FAMILY. We have mission which is BIAFRA.”
“Is God not wonderful? the correctional facility-bound @KemiOlunloyo is nowhere to be found on twitter. She lied that @MaziNnamdiKanu was dead now she’s dead on twitter.”
“She prayed to die before #BIAFRA comes, and her prayers has started manifesting. All her social media account are dead now, the next is her life and #BIAFRA will come! I see.”
“Please where is @KemiOlunloyo Anything that barks like rottweiler should be Kemi, You dare not open your filthy mouth insulting our dear leader @MaziNnamdiKanu we play with everything but never with our leader, he’s not like yours, we are still waiting for you.”
