The concerned Kaura Youth Coalition and the National Association of Takad Youths have voiced out their fears to security agencies and government to force out a militia camp on Zangang Hill in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
They brought the issue to light in a joint statement signed by the presidents, Abin Vincent and Derek Christopher in Kafanchan.
The alarmed group made the alert that the hill has become the ground where militia are being breed, and as it stands now over 600 armed men are being accommodated by the hill.
They called on the relevant security agencies to intensify and join forces together to displace the militia group on the hill top.
They added that every member of the militia group is possessing heavy weapons, and this has made the community residents to be leaving in constant panic.
The leaders cautioned that the Takad, Sholio and Takad were being killed at will at that same location. They pointed that the killings that happened in Zangang and Addu are not unconnected to this militia group.
The statement revealed that the main purpose of the attacks and occupation is heavily linked to the mineral deposits, and the green vegetation of the entire Southern kaduna. The youths expressed anger and sadness over the touring and plundering of their land by the militia group.
They appealed to the relevant security agencies to come to their aid. They also appealed to Kaduna state government to increase the military presence in Southern Kaduna for the security of lives and properties from the hands of the militias
