A former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has donated a number of food items to the Northerners displaced by the Shasha Market crisis, in Oyo State, .
Muktar Umar Yarima, a former Chairman of the Training Local Government in Kano State, led a Delegation of the Kwankwasiyya Movement to Oyo State, to present the donations to the Leaders of the Hausa community living in the State, on behalf of the former Governor.
The food items include 200 bags of rice, 200 cartons of bottled water, and 200 cartons of soft drinks.
Presenting the donation, Yarima said: “Our Leader has learnt that these people displaced by the crisis are in hard times, and they are in need of an urgent assistance.
“That is why our Leader donated these food items to be distributed to them.”
He called on the Leaders in the region, to help the displaced persons, saying that, this is the best way to pacify the affected persons.
