Emerging report indicates that fire has on Saturday, destroyed properties and goods worth millions of naira, at Itobe Market, in Ofu Local Government Area, Kogi State.
This was made known in the early morning news bulleting of a Radio Station in the State.
According to an Eyewitness, the fire was said to have started when a Trader’s generating set caught fire, thereby engulfing all the shops within the vicinity, and destroying them, including all goods therein.
Although no life was lost during the incident, the Eyewitness recounted that the means of livelihood of the numerous roadside Traders were lost in the fire incident.
The Onu Itobe, Alhaji Salihu Adaji, while reacting to the incident, explained that it has thrown many Businessmen in his domain to the Labour Market.
He urged those in authority to assist those affected by the fire disaster, with funds to restart their businesses.
