The National Assembly, on Wednesday, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to do more concerning the Security Architecture in the country,
The Legislature also called on the new Service Chiefs to take more drastic actions to bring to an end, the lingering insurgency raving the country.
The Federal Lawmakers made the call at plenary, as the issue of insurgency in the North-East, banditry in the North-West, and Farmers-Herders crisis across the country, formed a major part of their discussions.
The Senate stressed that there is no better time for the establishment of Community and State Police than now, as it believes that it will help to effectively deal with the unfolding security threats in all parts of the country.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, on his part, stated that every time a citizen is killed or kidnapped, loses their property or livelihood, the government has failed in its obligation.
According to the Speaker, the Constitution obligates all who swear to serve in government, to do everything to protect the lives and property of all citizens, and promote their well-being above all else.
