The Federal government is planning to demarcate the boundary between Benue and Ebonyi states as a way of resolving the crisis between two communities in both states.
Speaking with state house correspondents after a meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday, Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, said the National Boundary Commission is to come out with a programme to ensure that the boundary is demarcated.
He noted that the meeting was at the instance of the vice president and had the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Kelechi Igwe, and the Acting Director General of the National Boundary Commission, Adaji Adamu, in attendance.
According to Governor Ortom, Benue State is witnessing a spillover of the crisis between Tiv and Jukun in Taraba State.
He expressed hope that the crisis in Taraba State would be resolved if the issues there are sorted out.
