Dignified favour has come the way of Egoagwuagwu Agnes Maduafokwa as the Nigerian Society of Engineers honoured her with the sum of sixteen million naira for her scintillating performance in the 2020 Joint Admission Matriculation Board Examination (JAMB).
Egoagwuagwu was presented the cash prize in an event organised by the NSE in Lagos, Yesterday. The event was captioned “Unveiling of UTME Examination Engineering Candidates.
”Recall that Egoagwuagwu, a student of Louisville Girls High School, Ogun State is the most successful candidate of JAMB 2020. She had an aggregate score of 365 out of a total of 400. Egoagwuagwu thus, pulled over 90% of the total scores, becoming the highest JAMB candidate of the year. That’s impressive.According to reports, Egoagwuagwu is the president of Maths club and the first assistant head girl of her school, located in Ijebu-Itele in Ogun State.
The brilliant girl is the daughter of Chief and Mrs Emeka Maduafokwa, the Ichie Dikeh Asogu, 1 of Ihiala, Anambra State. She had written the UTME exam on Saturday, March 14, at St Michael Otedola Education Centre, Epe, Lagos State.
She had 72 in the Use of English, 99 in both Physics and Mathematics and 95 in Chemistry.During her Interview with Pressmen, Egoagwuagwu enthused that she applied to student Engineering because she wants to employ mathematical methodologies in providing pragmatic solutions to societal issues.It is also interesting to know that all the top 10 students in the concluded JAMB exam all applied to study Engineering in various Universities in the country. That’s really a great feat for Engineers all over the country.
