Peculiar Ultimate Consult, the contractors handling the reconstruction and upgrading of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, have declared that the stadium will have three scoreboards that are video mantic.
The Project Manager, Femi James, gave the assurance to Nigerians in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) during a visit to the ongoing works at the stadium complex on Tuesday.
“We can have live coverage of matches and even a replay when match is going on, we have a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) section.
“We are going to have three scoreboards, they are video mantic, what you have in other places is nothing compared to this.
“What we have here is a brand new dressing room, we had two before, now we have four by FIFA standard with adequate lockers in each room he told NAN explaining the facilities and structures added during the upgrading work.
“Like I said, the FIFA team were here, they were very impressed with the facilities they saw, the dressing room and swimming pool.
“We will complete the project in October, and by November we are going to inaugurate; by end of September we intend to have a test match here, just to test the grass, but proper inauguration is by November,” he said.
Femi, however, assured the people of Edo and sports lovers worldwide that the structure would definitely stand the test of time. (NAN)
