Exclusive report reaching on Tuesday, indicates that the 2023 Presidential Candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, is refusing to work with and consult the youths for his Presidential campaign, hiring old Politicians to lead his image marketing with old tricks that Nigerian youths have gotten accustomed to during the elections season, which may eventually cost him the 2023 Presidency.
An inside source privy to Atiku’s 2023 campaign revealed that efforts to get smart and intelligent youths to lead the campaign of the PDP Presidential campaign in a way that will be easy to market his candidacy to Nigerians, especially the youths, have proved abortive, as only what he described as “old people” have all the final say in what direction his campaign should go, which are mostly the old tricks Nigerians now mock Politicians for in 2022.
The source cited such archaic examples in a recent post that went viral, where Dr. Ahmed Adamu claimed to have taken Atiku to a public Cafe to watch a soccer match, and booked a VIP room for him, but he insisted he be taken to the general viewing hall, all in an attempt sell Atiku’s image as a man of the people. However, the campaign strategy backfired, as the post received horrible remarks from Nigerians, who could easily detect that it was all for the election season and nothing more, as Atiku does not visit such places on a regular day, but enjoys his rich and wealthy lifestyle in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, UAE, when he is not contesting for the Presidency.
The source also cited recent pictures of Atiku that were released to the blogs, to portray him as young and fit for the task ahead, instead of running a policy-based campaign, telling Nigerians what steps he is taking in order to provide immediate solutions to the pressing issues facing the country and citizens, should he emerge as President, come 2023.
The source therefore, advised the PDP Presidential Candidate not to ignore the youths, who he said are very vital to him losing or winning the 2023 Presidential election.
The source stated that what Atiku needs is a team of smart youths, who will map out a perfect marketing campaign for him which will be policy-based, as he is not the most favoured to emerge as the next President of the country, especially at a time when the youths are clamouring for a youthful President, and are mostly rallying behind the Labour Party, LP, 2023 Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, who is younger and has been very intentional in marketing his campaign as a policy-based one, telling whoever cares to know that his intention is to turn Nigeria from a fully consuming nation to a producing nation, and has been following up with steps in that direction.
