President Muhammadu Buhari, has through his Spokesman, Garba Shehu, expressed his frustration over the killing of over 40 Farmers in Borno State,
Several Rice Farmers were brutally murdered by suspected Boko Haram insurgents in the middle of their farms, while they were harvesting.
A statement issued by Garba Shehu, said that President Buhari condemned the attack, and called for all necessary measures to be taken to protect the country.
The statement reads: “President @MBuhari has expressed grief over the killing of Farmers on rice fields at Zabarmari, in Jere Local Government of Borno State, describing the terrorist killings as insane.”
President Buhari noted that the government has given all the needed support to the Armed Forces, “to take all necessary steps to protect the country’s population and its territory”.
