Emerging report indicates that President Muhammadu Buhari is currently chairing a Security meeting, at the Executive Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, in Abuja.
The meeting is taking place ahead of his scheduled trip to London, United Kingdom, UK, for a routine medical check-up.
Page 36 learnt that as at the time of filing in this report, there was no report that the President has written, or will write to the National Assembly, to transmit power to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, since he will be spending two weeks in London.
In attendance at the Security meeting are: Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha; Minister of Defence, Major-General, Bashir Salihi Magashi; Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari; and the National Security Adviser, NSA, Major-General Babagana Monguno.
Others at the meeting are the Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, General Lucky Irabor; Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Ibrahim Attahiru; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice-Admiral Awwal Zubairu; and the Chief of Air Staff, Air-Marshal Isiaka Oladayo Amoo.
Others are the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Adamu; the Director-General, DG, of the Department of State Security Services, DSS, Yusuf Bichi; and the Director-General, DG, of National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ambassador Ahmed Rufai Abubakar.
