President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has been termed a “pandemic”, as the national Power grid collapsed, amid diesel and kerosene price increase, petrol scarcity, aviation fuel unavailability, strikes, others, all happening at the same time in the country,
Recall, that in the past few months, the plight of Nigerians have heightened, as the price of diesel increased to N700/N800 per litre, alongside the ongoing scarcity of petrol, increase in kerosene price, and very epileptic Power supply, nationwide.
Ongoing simultaneously with the above, is the warning strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, which was extended on Sunday, by 8 more weeks, to give the Federal Government more time to meet its demands, leaving Nigerian Public University Students in serious jeopardy.
On Monday, Allen Onyema, the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of Air Peace, also revealed that Nigerians will pay N85,000 for flight tickets, despite the new deal between the Oil Marketers and the Airline Operators of Nigeria, with the Airline Operators announcing a complete shutdown of their operations in just 3 days, if the Federal Government refuses their demand for licenses to import aviation fuel.
With all these ordeals happening at the same time, Nigerians have taken to the social media, especially Twitter, to express their disappointment in a government that promised Change, but ended up worsening the economy of the country to an all time low.
They demanded that President Buhari finds a permanent solution to the national grid collapsing every quarter, ASUU strike, petroleum products scarcity, as well as restoring the economy.
