Governor Wike, in an interview conducted by AIT, at Government House, in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, monitored by Page 36, clearly stated that he does want the ruling APC to succeed, because it has failed the electorate which voted it into power.
His exact words: “I am not here to help the APC, that is not my duty. My duty is to make sure APC fails. I am not here to help them, because if I help them I cannot take over the government.
“The business of my party is to make sure they leave, because they have not done well. I am not going to aid them to win.”
Governor Wike, therefore, called on the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to use more effective means to attack the bad policies of the current administration, instead of using the social media platforms, which in his opinion, are not popular with the older generation.
