The recently-inaugurated Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry into brutality and high handedness by the now-disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Unit of the Nigeria Police Force, NPF, on Friday, during an inspection of the Lekki toll gate, the scene of the ordered shooting of peaceful EndSARS protesters on Tuesday night, October 20, found some bullet shells.
Page 36 learnt that 5 bullet shells were found by the members during the inspection of the scene.
The bullets were found in the drainages at the Lekki toll gate.
The Nigerian Army had initially denied that its Personnel were at the scene, but later admitted that Soldiers were deployed to ‘restore normalcy’ in the area.
The Lagos Judicial Panel was at the scene, to make more findings concerning the shooting.
Led by the Chairman, Retired Justice Doris Okuwobi, the Panel interrogated Lekki toll gate Officials about the condition of their cameras and other equipment that can serve as evidence.
