The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has demanded for the immediate step down of Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, following an alleged indictment in the probe of Ibrahim Magu, the suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,
An online platform, Pointblanknews, had alleged that Osinbajo received N4 billion recovered funds from Magu, as part of recovered loot from corrupt politicians.
However, in a statement signed by his Media Aide, Laolu Akande, on Wednesday, the Vice President denied the report, describing it as fake news and misleading.
Nonetheless, speaking to Newsmen, on Thursday, Dr. Emeka Kalu, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP Youth Alliance, PDPYA, asked Osinbajo to step down, in order to allow for a comprehensive probe.
He also called for the resignation of Yakubu Mahmood, the Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
According to Kalu, Mahmood must resign, over purported plan to rig the forthcoming Gubernatorial election in Edo State, for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
