gerian Soldiers and operatives of IPOB’s Eastern Security Network (ESN) have clashed in Orlu, Imo state over alleged attacks on civilians. This has also led to loss of lives and properties in the area.
In the video, Soldiers are seen taking positions as they fire Eastern security Network for retaliating over the killing of Civilians in the Area. The ESN is also seen patrolling in hundreds to confront the soldiers.
Recall that the Nigerian soldiers kept tormenting Orlu residents, Burnt churches and houses, killed some civilians over alleged killing some soldiers, reports had it. This provoked the ESN and they come out in their hundreds to fight for the People.
The residents of Orlu have been capturing scenes of the crisis with their phones and uploading clips on social media.
A video posted on Twitter, Monday afternoon, showed soldiers taking positions in a calmed street and firing gunshots.
Some military trucks are seen, in another video, being driven through a street.
A woman’s voice could be heard from the background of the video crying.
“Oh my God, look at them, look at them. Oh, Jesus, I want to go home. I want to go home,” the woman, apparently frightened, cried.
Another video showed flames of fire engulfing a building, while a corpse is seen close by at a veranda of what looks like a shop.
“This is what is happening in Orlu,” said a man’s voice in a video. He was secretly filming the scenes of the military operation.
“The army are shooting sporadically. They are just shooting at any vehicle that is moving, although I can’t get everything from where I am right now.
“Orlu is in a total mess,” he said.
Sharing a Video of a woman who was shot dead by soldiers, Mazi Nnamdi Nnamdi Kanu wrote: “●Hope Uzodinma, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu & George Obiozor, the #ZooNigeria soldiers you invited to confront #ESN today in Orlu have succeeded in killing an Igbo woman going about her lawful business. ”
“We are no longer lamenting but be rest assured that youths of Orlu are very angry. Be afraid, be very very afraid.”
Kanu added: “Well done boys! Now they know Orlu can never be another Obigbo. Those that doubted our resolve now know better.
