Abubakar Shekau, the leader of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists has given the reason why his group targets christians. Shekau stated this in a video released through Ahmed Shekilda, a journalist with close ties with the insurgents.
Shekau said that they attack Christians because Christians belief that Jesus is the son of God. Apart from attacking and killing Christians, he said they attack Muslims that support liberal ideas. He further stated that he listens to multiple radio stations.
