Bishop David Oyedepo in a recent statement has stated that people should forget the wrong their parents may have done to them in the past and instead honour them.
The Bishop in a post on social media wrote, “It is your job to honour your parents. You can’t change them; it is too late! When you stop honouring them, God says, “I will dishonour you.” You cannot be eating turkey, beef, chicken, fish and all kinds of delicious meals, while your parents are out there virtually starving!”

“Many of our parents must have done certain wrong things in the past. Forget that and do what God tells you to do. Even if your parents have done you any hurt, that does not give you a license to dishonour them,” he added.
