A Facebook user, Mrs Chinwe Udeze Patricia has narrated how her sister’s husband started sleeping with her, after was taking away from her mother by her sister.She said her sister came to meet her mum heavily pregnant with three kids and told her mum that she is unable to do house chores and that she should come and stay with her and also assist her in doing some works.
Initially, her mum doesn’t want her to go, because she knew she won’t treat her well, but due to the fact that she was young and never been to Lagos before, she was too happy and persuaded her mum to allow her follow her sister.After she followed her to Lagos, her sister told her never to interact with her mum in Igbo dialect so that she won’t be able to report her abuse, as her mum is from Edo but married to an Igbo man.As time goes on, she was been accused of stealing milk, tea and other food stuffs in the house.
Due to this, her sister will strip her in front of her husband and seriously deal with her. She will make jest of her private body in front of her and her kids.There after, her sister’s husband started sleeping with her right while she is inside her house and when she has gone out.When she joined them in Lagos, she was not allowed to go to school for two two terms, and when she was eventually allowed, she is always going late to school.
She said after her husband is done sleeping with her, he will go to buy amplicox and other drugs and force her to use it in his presence, so that she won’t get pregnant.Whenever her mum calls from the village, her sister will monitor the call to make sure she doesn’t tell her mum anything also she must not speak in Igbo dialect whenever the two are talking.This is how the act continued till she ran away from her sister’s house one day.I was about dying one day before I ran out of our house and escaped to one of my uncle’s place in Lagos, who could not say anything after seeing the way I was maltreated by them , she said.
