Yesterday, Friday, March 19, 2021, Iwo people assembled in the major center of the city, Oja Ale to show their support for one Nigeria and condemn the movement of some Yoruba people to establish Yoruba Nation otherwise called Oduduwa Republic.
The rally was headed by Ta’awun Islamic Sect’s leader, Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan (the man in blue cap in the picture above) who has been opposing all the movements of the Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Igboho and his fellow men to form Yoruba Nation.
However, the Yoruba Nation Forum on Twitter has reacted to the calling-for-one-Nigeria rally staged by Iwo people in Osun state, reacting to the rally, Yoruba Nation Forum said they will surely face the wrath of their progenitors for opposing the movement to liberate Southwest and form Oduduwa Republic.
“The people of Iwo staged solidarity rally for One Nigeria.
Tell Iwo people that with them or without them we will achieve Yoruba Nation.
And they will suffer from generation to generation like ilorin people for standing against the freedom of Yoruba Nation.”
The tweets have sparked mixed reactions in which the Taawun Media joined to reply that Iwo people are educated and civilized. They understand that Nigeria has no problem but Nigerians are the problem and Yoruba is also part of the problem. They contributed to the situation we find ourselves in. So if we all don’t change, Nigeria can’t be changed.
