We know that even amongst us, there are still people who have the heart of gold. People who are always ready to go out of their ways to do good.
This morning, a young lady named Smithy Joie took to Facebook to upload photos of a baby she rescued from a mad woman yesterday.
Smithy is from Isoko South in Delta state, but is based in Kwale. She is a student.
According to Smithy Joie, the mad woman gave birth to the baby yesterday around 4am by the side of the road. No one came to her rescue, but the mad woman was left all by herself.
Smithy Joie said she ran around trying to get help for the woman, but her efforts were all futile. So she decided to take up the baby and take care of her. She says she cannot afford to give the baby back to the mad woman because she believes the baby will be better of with her, and not to be allowed to live in the streets.
Smithy Joie, who made this known through a very reliable group on Facebook called Women in Nigeria and Diaspora (WINAD), solicited to members of the public to assist her in whatever way they can in giving the baby a better life, because even though she is a student, she believes the baby deserves to be given a chance to have a better life.
