The immediate-past President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has called on young Nigerians across the country, to take advantage of the ongoing continuous voters registration exercise currently being undertaken by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC,
In a video posted on all his social media handles, @bukolasaraki, the former Chairman of the Nigerian Governor Forum, NGF, stated that with 30 million unregistered voters, young Nigerians have the power to choose their Leaders at all levels.
He said: “In 2019, 84 million Nigerians registered to vote. 51 percent were below 35 years old. However, on election day, only 29 million voters came out.
“With about 30 million unregistered young voters, clearly, the power is firmly in your hands.”
Saraki also stated that young Nigerians’ determination to make the country work for them, has echoed across the world, while also emphasising that if they register to vote, they can decide the future of the country.
